Hot Pepper Dip Experience

By recipesweber

When I was a kid I didn’t like hot, spicy foods. I remember one time when I was 16, when I went with my family to an oriental Iraqi restaurant. It wasn’t the first time I went to this kind of restaurant, the food was good and we were having a great time. Then at some point I tried to eat green raw hot pepper, wow that was terrible, I felt like I was burning, and nothing I tried could ease it. So after that I thought “No more with this hot stuff”. But things did change. I don’t remember when exactly , guess somewhere in my early 20’s I started to eat some foods with hot spices, first very little, and then gradually more and more. There was one kind of food that I really started to love Hot Pepper Dip, which is coming from Yemenite. I found out that is goes well with many kinds of food like: bread, hummus, potatoes, some soups, meat and more. My love to hot, spicy foods is no question today, it’s almost an addiction. Yesterday I prepared my preferred recipe for hot pepper dip, and it surely contributed to my great Saturday.
